So, we have decided to use technology to create a way to inform family and friends of the journey of life. But since Jake is not really jazzed about spending time on the computer, I will be posting all of our entries (I'm sure you won't mind). Plus I was inspired by some of my talented friends who have been keeping me in the loop doing this very thing. So here goes...
It is almost Fall (tomorrow in fact) and this year is already gone by in a blur. Truth is so many things have been going on that I forget the order of things.
So just to recap 2009.
Jan.~another year and a very cold and snowy beginning in Seattle. We were supposed to take a roadtrip to CA, but we were stopped by excessive ice and snow through the passes.
Feb.~Jake and I both celebrated another year older..35 and 33 (in that order)!
March~a little more snow and a new opportunity to work as a Doula (birth assistant) to complete my certification. Emily announced she was prego with a second.
April~Roadtrip to CA and brought the crew back via caravan. Niece, sis-in-law and brother were here working on brother's house up the street (in hopes of moving, or renting to others)
May~lots of gardening, adding cedar boxes for veggie gardens! Dear friends and their baby visited from OR for a weekend of Pike Market and home-cooking!
June~work, sun, gardening, and preparation for family to come back.
July~Mom and Dad came for a visit, we bought our first flat screen TV!! (thanks Dad)
August~friend had a little girl, another friend got pregnant and I was hired as a Doula for a Sept. delivery. Fishing season has taken Jake to the sea and brought tons of salmon home for all of us..including the dogs! Also, I started using the Ovulation Predictor (peeing on a stick) Jake and I are seriously going to tryto make a baby! We are both finally ready to be parents, isn't that exciting!
Sept.~Mom came for a shopping visit..we had a blast. Baby was born with me as Doula!! (had a period, boo)
So, I will keep you informed of the next steps now that I have given you a brief update.
Stay tuned..
